When uploading a file check the boxes for "Create a link to the attached file" and "Do not show attachment in table" (in other words both boxes should be checked). The link to the file will be in the text after uploading. Edit the table entry to look like the ones already there. Note that "two spaces" before and after a field will center it.
To upload a new version of a file, click the "Attach" link. In the table of uploads at the bottom click the "manage" link for the file you want to replace. The default check box settings should be okay. Simply upload the file to overwrite the old one.
NOTE: Be very careful if you want to delete an attachment. This whole page and all attachments can (too) easily be deleted!
